Sunshine Coast Peewees hit Rogers Arena

Hockey

The Sunshine Coast Peewee C1 were selected from more than 350 teams to play an exhibition game at Rogers Arena in Vancouver against Abbotsford C2. On Sunday, Nov. 26, 13 very excited young men arrived at Rogers Arena, dressed like their NHL idols, ready to play. Part of Minor Hockey Week, BC Hockey partnered with the Canucks to make this amazing opportunity possible for the boys. For them it was a dream come true, to sit on the bench where their heroes sit, to skate up the ice to the cheering fans (their friends and family), and to top it off bring home a 4-1 win. After the game the boys had the chance to see the game highlights on the big screen and tour the Canucks dressing room. It was an amazing experience for our Coast kids.
