The Sunshine Coast Skating Club’s skater of the month for November is Brooklyn Turner. Brooklyn is seven years old and in Grade 2 at West Sechelt Elementary School.
What Brooklyn says she loves about skating is the pretty dresses and being able to jump on the ice! Brooklyn wants to be as good as her big sister Teigan! Her favourite thing about skating is the jumps and skating fast.
When Brooklyn is not skating she likes to do ballet, play with her horses, and be with her friends.
Here’s what Brooklyn’s coach, Lesleigh Farr, has to say: “Brooklyn moved up to Junior Academy this year and attends Friday morning as well as the dryland training. She is polite, respectful, and enthusiastic. Brooklyn is always in proper skating attire, brings a smile, works hard and continues to improve."
