RCMP investigating sudden death

A found body in Sechelt Thursday morning is being investigated as a sudden death and is not suspicious according to Sunshine Coast RCMP. Police tape is around the scene at Trail Bay Mall in Sechelt while RCMP completes its investigation.

A body found in Sechelt Thursday morning is being investigated as a sudden death and is not suspicious according to Sunshine Coast RCMP.

RCMP discovered the body of a 60-year-old Halfmoon Bay man in a red truck at the Trail Bay Mall parking lot Feb. 27.

Police officers found the deceased male in the cab of the truck while conducting morning foot patrols of the area.

There is nothing suspicious and it has been referred to the coroners' office, said RCMP media spokesperson Cpl. Steve Chubey.
