Pender Harbour Blues Festival

Justin Samson Photos - June 8, 2014

This year’s Pender Harbour Blues Festival was a resounding success. A stellar line-up offered something for everyone over the weekend of June 6 to 8. The line-up included: James Harman with Steve Kozak, Shaun Verreault, David Vest, Sibel Thrasher, Tim Hearsey, Doc Fingers, Michael Van Eyes, Joe Stanton and Simon Paradis, Jason Buie, Steve Hinton and Dave Paterson. Harman and Kozak kicked off the festival on Friday at the Garden Bay Pub. Verreault of Wide Mouth Mason performed at the Garden Bay Pub on Saturday night. And boogie-woogie piano player Vest performed dinner shows at the Painted Boat Restaurant. The Garden Bay Pub also hosted dinner shows featuring Van Eyes Friday and Saturday. Vancouver’s Incognito and Nadine States rocked the dance party at the Pender Harbour Community Hall. The Sunday Gospel Show at the School of Music featured Thrasher and Vest. The popular Sunday all-star jam was hosted by Hearsey with special guests, with a spectacular pianorama show at the Garden Bay Pub on Sunday closing out the festival. For more, see
