I know that ‘we’ elected our present mayor and council, but there is something flawed with the manner ‘our’ money is being spent.
To put in free wifi in Sechelt is frivolous! Most people with ‘devices’ have the ability to get on the Internet either with a personal plan, at a cafe or restaurant, at the visitors centre or in their hotel.
Apparently the sewer expansion project is over budget by $193,500 and the West Sechelt sewer collection project is “estimated to be over budget by $43,363.00”.
Use the money allocated for the wifi to pay towards the debt.
Wouldn’t this be a more responsible use of ‘our’ money?
