Our MP John Weston said the Conservative party could have done a better job of selling the budget implementation Bill C-38 to Canadians (Coast Reporter, June 15).

Were you serious Mr. Weston?

If you are, then I want to be sure you know the real truth!

It's the facts that people object to in the 425-page budget bill. It's the steamroller approach that you and your fellow Conservative MPs take that people object to. It's the procedures your party uses when you ignore the concerns of constituents and bundle massive changes into one bill and then proceed to ram it through the House of Commons.

Mr. Weston, please know that every time I read about the details in Bill C-38, I smelled a skunk, even though apparently you were thinking you could sell us more for less, package it in pretty designer paper, add a colourful bow and deceive us.
