Too many will be left behind

After reading the article on the ferry corporation idea to go to a smaller boat and maybe even a sailing on every hour, (Coast Reporter, Sept. 12), I was wondering how we were going to keep up to traffic which they cannot do now with the larger boat?

The smaller boats will carry one-third the load of the big boat, and a sailing on every hour will mean two-thirds of the traffic will be moving and one-third left behind. Add this all together for the day and we’ll have traffic stacked up to the top of the bypass both sides?

I think the answer to our problems on the Coast is new and better management of our ferry system and that means a total change in the upper management staff who make these ridiculous decisions for us.
