Help! I’m at my wits end chasing out the neighbour’s new cat from my bird and pond garden.

I’m getting tired of having to deal with cat feces in garden beds, too. I’ve purchased cat deterrents, sprinkled coffee grounds, tried hosing this cat, all to no avail. I’ve seen this cat kill hummingbirds and sparrows, and all the squirrels have disappeared.

At least my other neighbours keep their cats indoors where they are safe from predators and vehicles, and are exempt from becoming bird killers and destroying gardens. I’ve fed hummingbirds throughout the year for the last six or so years and the poor rufouses that this cat killed didn’t get a chance to fly south this year. I’ve spent many hours enjoying feeding and watching these birds, but it now is an exercise in stress management. Many other bird species are disappearing. Granted not all can be attributed to cat predation, but it does play a part in it. When will this stop?
