Re: World’s best water wasted (Letters, Coast Reporter, June 20).

Please, Mr. Janyk, if there were a few people responsible for contaminating one reservoir, please tell us who they are and we can all get together and have them tarred and feathered before we cast them into the sea.

You insinuate that if you were still our mayor this would never have happened because you have special skills or knowledge to look at the numbers and stop the contamination. How high handed is that?

You have used your position as ex-mayor to use scare tactics and innuendo to cast doubts on our current mayor and council to do their job.

You mention 10- and 12-storey condo towers, which to my knowledge nobody has ever suggested, and you link our temporary water problem to that of the disaster in Walkerton when the situation is entirely different. You then go on to say how proud you were to be our mayor. The position of mayor should be a feeling of honour. Remember the old but true proverb “pride goes before a fall.”
