No need to reinvent the wheel

LETTERS

Editor:

So, we are going to hire a consulting company to tell us once again what we already know. Sechelt has no viable budgetary process and our paid department heads may be lacking some qualifications, which would enable them to create, submit and monitor a working budget and a five-year budgetary projection.

Folks, this doesn’t require an examination into the reasons why; it requires finding a successful template for creating and implementing a working budget, teaching our employees how and moving forward. I Googled “municipal budgetary template.” Try it yourself. It is way cheaper and no need to reinvent the wheel through trial and error.
