Let’s debate the merits, please

The great George debate has now officially devolved from the merely disappointing to the downright McCarthyesque.

Members of GABC are being asked to name names.

The latest such request comes from N. Hache of Gibsons in her letter in the Sept. 12th issue, who, quite ironically, declines to fully identify himself/herself.

Does this line of inquiry add any value, or does it just serve distract from the matter at hand?

If we are going to go down this road, then perhaps some would like to know who is behind the website gibsonsgold.ca? Who are the people with the huge “We Support the George” billboards on their properties? Did they pay for these signs themselves? Did they receive compensation for posting them on their private property?

Who are the other George investors, besides Mr. Fuerniss?

I propose we drop this line of inquiry entirely and get back to debating the merits of the George proposal.

To paraphrase Mr. Murrow: This is
Gibsons. Good night and good luck.
