Isn’t public education as important as LNG?

Can’t Minister Fassbender and Premier Clark hear the consistent messages?

We want our children back in schools for Sept. 2. We don’t want our tax dollars spent on the $40 replacement plan. That money belongs in public education.

Why isn’t government in full-scale mediation for 24/7 like Mr. Fassbender keeps on promising? Why are there so many government words on websites and in the air waves, and yet still no evidence of mediation with Mr. Ready?

Isn’t public education as important as LNG? Pretty obvious that government is ready and willing to invest in LNG, but not in public education.

I feel so very sad at the current priorities and provincial budget decisions, far from family-friendly policies and priorities. Letting down our next generation is irresponsible.

Ignoring and avoiding that we need better support for our kids in public schools is not rocket science, and neither is it that our teachers deserve a chance for bargaining a fair deal.

These terrible government decisions will be so very expensive in the long run!
