The opening of the new Sechelt sewage treatment plant is the most significant, positive, environmental event I have witnessed in my 35 years of residence on the Sunshine Coast.
The building, the technology, and the financing are nothing short of brilliant. The model should be copied by the rest of the municipalities in B.C. that continue to use the ocean as a sewer dump.
Kudos to Mayor Henderson, council and staff of Sechelt. Thanks to Aaron Joe and Salish Soils for turning our waste into soil.
