On July 30 at approximately 6:40 a.m., Sunshine Coast RCMP attended the 5700 block of Genni's Way in Sechelt for multiple reports of mischief that occurred sometime overnight.
"Police spoke to several witnesses and learned that vandals had smeared tar on vehicles, road signs, driveways and sidewalks in the neighbourhood. The tar was stolen from a nearby construction site," said Cpl. Steve Chubey. "It appears that the vandals may have used their hands to spread the tar."
RCMP is asking the public, especially parents, to keep an eye out for individuals with tar on their hands or clothing. Anybody with information into this matter are urged to call Const. Yuan at 604-885-2266 or BC Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
