Shoplifter targets Extra Foods

Sunshine Coast RCMP is seeking the public’s help for information regarding an alleged shoplifter who targeted the Extra Foods in Sechelt.

According to RCMP media spokesperson Sgt. Steve Chubey, officers received a report of a theft at the grocery store on May 17.

“Witnesses reported seeing a male fill a bag with meat and walk out of the store without paying,” said Chubey, adding that the theft happened on the evening of May 16. “Police seized video surveillance and observed the male suspect described as 45 to 55 years old, darker complexion, approximately six feet tall, and long dark hair tied back in a ponytail. The suspect was wearing a white ball cap, dark blue hoodie sweater, black pants and grey running shoes.”
