RCMP investigating theft from mall

Sunshine Coast RCMP are investigating an alleged theft at Trail Bay Mall and is seeking assistance for information from the public.

On May 22, RCMP were notified of a theft that allegedly occurred the previous day at the Trail Bay Mall in at approximately 4 p.m.

“An unidentified female suspect had entered the Cactus Flower Fashions and stole two articles of clothing,” said Sgt. Steve Chubey in a news release. “The suspect is described as Caucasian, 30 years old, fair skin, long brown hair, approximately five foot three and 150 pounds. She had been wearing a blue shirt, dark pants, white shoes and taupe coloured baseball cap and blue pattered over-the-shoulder bag/purse.”

RCMP seized surveillance video and are asking anyone with information on this matter to contact Const. Spring Coutts at 604-885-2266 or BC Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
