RCMP investigating liquor theft

Sunshine Coast RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect believed responsible for a theft of liquor in Gibsons on Feb. 10. RCMP received a report of a theft of liquor from the Blackfish Pub Liquor Store.

RCMP received a report of a theft of liquor from the Blackfish Pub Liquor Store.

At approximately 7:40 p.m., a male suspect entered the store and allegedly placed two boxed bottles of Johnny Walker Platinum in a cloth grocery bag, said Cpl. Steve Chubey in a media release. Staff engaged the suspect who immediately walked out of the store. The suspect got into the passenger seat of a red sports car, which took off onto Gibsons Way and headed north towards North Road. The value of the liquor is $375.

The suspect is described as tall, large stature, olive skin, wearing a blue sweatshirt and grey sweat pants.
