Sunshine Coast RCMP are requesting assistance from the public to help catch those responsible for a theft of logging equipment in Egmont this week.

On Tuesday, July 8 RCMP received a report that heavy duty equipment had been stolen from a logging site near Egmont sometime over the past few months. The logging site was water-access only, and a large vessel or barge would have been required to facilitate the theft.

Items stolen include a newer model Caterpillar 330C excavator, two fuel pumps from high capacity fuel tanks, a fuel hose from an onsite fuel truck and a dual prop leg from a small boating vessel.

This file is currently under investigation. If you have any information with regards to this incident, you are asked to contact Const. Kelly at 604-885-2266 or Crime Stoppers at 1-877-222-TIPS (8477).
