Two Sunshine Coast residents — Elizabeth Nordlund and Larry Koopman — are seeking the nomination to represent West Vancouver - Sunshine Coast - Sea to Sky Country federal NDP in the 2015 election.
A nomination meeting will be held in Gibsons from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Gibsons and Area Community Centre.
Although only members in good standing are eligible to vote, all are welcome to come meet the local riding association executive and the next federal candidate for the Party. Powell River - Sunshine Coast MLA Nicholas Simons will provide a key note address at the meeting.
The chosen candidate will run against Liberal candidate Pamela Goldsmith-Jones, who was nominated last month, and current Conservative member of Parliament John Weston, who is seeking his third term as MP.
