On Aug. 1, Sunshine Coast RCMP requested the public’s assistance in locating a missing person, who was kayaking from Sechelt to Powell River.
On Aug. 4, RCMP received a call from a family member of the missing person, who spoke with him that day and confirmed he is OK and in the Powell River area. “Although Powell River RCMP are still looking to speak with the kayaker in person, police are relieved to hear that he is alive and made it to the Powell River area,” said Sunshine Coast RCMP Const. Harrison Mohr. “Sunshine Coast RCMP thank the public for their assistance in this matter.”
