Sunshine Coast RCMP are seeking assistance from the public following two incidents of vandalism to the soccer fields at Cedar Grove Elementary School.

According to RCMP, on May 4 and 14, vandals used a vehicle to tear up the fields at Cedar Grove Elementary School and the field behind Frank West Hall.

“On both occasions, suspect(s) drove on the field doing burnouts and donuts on the grass and gravel, tearing up the fields in the process,” said media spokesperson Cpl. Steve Chubey. “A witness reports hearing this occur at approximately 4:50 a.m. on May 4, both occurred over night.”

RCMP is asking anyone with information on one or both of these occurrences to call the Sechelt detachment at 604-885-2266 or BC Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
