Good Samaritans assaulted

Sunshine Coast RCMP is seeking assistance from the public for information connected to an assault in Gibsons.

According to RCMP, on May 24 at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers were called to a report of an assault at the corner of Winn Road and South Fletcher Road in Gibsons.

“Two men were assaulted by another man as they attempted to intervene after witnessing the unidentified male and a woman arguing on the roadway in what appeared to be a domestic disturbance,” said Sgt. Steve Chubey in a news release.

The couple possibly left in a smaller grey older model pick-up with a grey canopy. The male suspect is described as early 20’s, olive skinned, dark short hair, approximately 5’9 tall, between 180 and 190 pounds with a muscular build. The female is described as early 20’s, Caucasian, long bleached blond hair, blue eyes, 5’5 tall and medium build.
