Unclaimed $1M lottery ticket sold in Sechelt

Lotto 6/49

A $1-million winning lottery ticket was sold in Sechelt – but the winner hasn’t been named as they have yet to claim their prize.

“We can confirm that a winning ticket was purchased in Sechelt for the $1-million Guaranteed Prize Draw in the Lotto 649 Oct. 3, 2015 draw,” said B.C. Lottery Corporation (BCLC) media relations person Jessica Gares.

“All we know at this point is that the winning ticket was purchased in Sechelt – the name of the lottery winner and the exact location that their winning ticket was purchased is only released after the winner comes forward and BCLC verifies their prize claim.”

The winning numbers for the October 3 Lotto 6/49 Guaranteed Prize Draw were: 16562536-01.

The lottery winner has up to one year from the draw date to collect their prize in person at BCLC corporate offices, or by sending the ticket to BCLC’s Kamloops office.

All risks of sending tickets to BCLC remain with the player.
