For the second time this year, Malaspina Coach Lines has cancelled service.

On Sept. 13, the company posted on its website at www.malaspinacoach.com that service was “cancelled until further notice.”

The company has given no reason for the closure or comment on whether it will resume. Calls and emails were not returned to Coast Reporter this week.

Malaspina previously suspended service on June 20 when its buses were seized by a bailiff, but resumed operations in July.

Malaspina Coach Lines is the only bus service that runs between Powell River, the Lower Sunshine Coast and Vancouver and it’s also used to deliver parcels through ABC Express Service Ltd.

Malaspina Coach Lines is a privately owned transportation company that has been running a service connecting Powell River, the Lower Sunshine Coast and the Lower Mainland for more than 25 years.
