Two Gibsons companies have been named as semi-finalists for Small Business BC Awards.
The Gibsons Butcher has been nominated in two categories – Best Employer and Premier’s People Choice – and Soma Small Business Solutions has been nominated for Best Company.
These awards, which are handed out in 10 categories, are the largest small business awards competition in B.C., and this year nearly 600 nominations were received from across the province.
The semi-finalists will now be invited to submit an extended application form, which will be used by a judging panel to determine the top five finalists, who will be invited to pitch why they are B.C.’s best.
On Feb. 23, 2018, winners will be an-nounced at the Small Business BC Awards Gala at the Vancouver Convention Centre.
All winners will receive the Premier’s Prize in the amount of $1,500 cash, a one-year all-access pass to Small Business BC education and experts, and the honour of being named a top B.C. small business.
