The BC Coroner's Service has now taken over the investigation into a man who was found dead in a boat near Gibsons on Wednesday morning.
RCM-SAR unit 14 in Gibsons was called out to the waters just off Gibsons after a report of a boat adrift.
Sunshine Coast RCMP confirmed that the incident was a sudden death and that the case is not being treated as suspicious.
No name or age of the man has been released.
