Kudos to Coastal Tire

My Easter weekend got off to a soggy start on Thursday — rain all the way from Vancouver to Horseshoe Bay, then the Langford ferry — my destination Madeira Park. But I stopped in Gibsons to give the little dog a chance to do her business. Returning to my truck I saw that my back tire was very low. A local directed me to Coastal Tire.

A short wait (while I calculated this was going to cost somewhere in the $50 range) then 20 minutes of hard work in a cold, damp workplace by a very pleasant workman. When the job was finished I reached for my wallet and he shook his head. “That’s OK,” he said, “You’re a visitor. Have a good Easter.”

You don’t get that kind of treatment in the big city. You really made my weekend.
