It doesn't add up

You must marvel at the 'scale & character' of the developers marching on the Sunshine Coast. It is hard to see the forest for the trees. They lead with a slate of consultants and a slick PR song and dance to sell folk their gift of an economic stimulus package.

This at a time when the world's wise are bracing for austerity plans? It doesn't add up.

Some projects are so grandiose that they tap-dance all over our official community plans. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is not true.

It is time for us to use the skeptic's lens to scrutinize our leadership for sell-outs and swindlers. So please treat this letter like a memo for readers to respect our communities and to do their homework.
