Pender Harbour-Egmont Highlights: Easter Bunny arrives at Lions Park Sunday

The excitement is building, the young ones can hardly wait for the Easter Bunny to arrive Sunday morning. The whole family is waiting for the annual Easter Pancake Breakfast at Lions Park, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The excitement is building, the young ones can hardly wait for the Easter Bunny to arrive Sunday morning. The whole family is waiting for the annual Easter Pancake Breakfast at Lions Park, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. generously sponsored by Lafarge, Earle Creek division. The Pender Harbour Lions Club will host a community sponsored Easter egg hunt at noon. 

Sunday Live Music at the Legion this weekend welcomes Control Group Jazz Band 2 to 5 p.m. $10 at the door. 

Celebrate spring at the Pender Harbour Blues Society’s Annual Spring Dance with one of Vancouver’s absolute best blues bands Terminal Station featuring Scott Smith, Darryl Havers, Jeremy Holmes, and Liam MacDonald. Tickets are $35 and can be bought on line at www.phblues.ca or EarthFair in Madeira Park. 

Skookumchuck Heritage Society is having its AGM on Sunday, April 7 at 2 p.m. at the Egmont Heritage Centre. 

Mark your calendars for the next School of Music Coffee House on Friday, April 12. This is going to be a special evening with two fantastic acts taking the stage: Sean Peters and Spindrift Street featuring Charlie Veaudry, Garth Oliver Bowen and Randy Shepherd. $10 suggested donation at the door. Amazing desserts provided by the Pender Harbour Choir will be available. 

The PH Community Club Annual Plant Sale, April 27 has a call out for donations including baking and items for the White Elephant tables and volunteers! Tables for vendors ($35 before March 31, $45 after). Contact Lesley for more information at 778-840-1692.

The Pender Harbour Health Centre is working in partnership with Urban Matters CCC to develop a Health Services Needs Assessment for the Pender Harbour and Egmont area. Please complete the survey. Answers are anonymous. Results of this survey will be used to inform the Pender Harbour Health Services Needs Assessment and to identify the current and future social, health, and wellness needs our area.
