An honest, heartfelt action by a North Vancouver resident made Christmas that much easier for a Sunshine Coast couple.

On Monday evening, Dec. 23 a Good Samaritan found a wallet in the parking lot of a restaurant on Lonsdale Ave and turned it in to the North Vancouver RCMP detachment.

In the wallet was ID, credit cards and $850 belonging to the couple.

Police were pleased to contact the rightful owners and advise them of the good deed.

"This person definitely deserves to be on the 'nice' list this Christmas season," said Cpl. Richard De Jong of the North Vancouver RCMP.
