The queen of fundraisers, Nikki Weber, and the fine vocal group the MellowTones have turned their attention to making money for the Back the CAT initiative. The 'Tones will be performing on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. at the Sechelt Legion. Accompanying them will be musicians Miles Black on piano, a masterful player in various styles from pop to soul to new age jazz, Boyd Norman on bass and Al Burns on drums.

There will also be a special guest performer, Sam Slick, known to some as George Grafton. The MellowTones look forward to singing new and old songs, in an evening of swing and jazz. Tickets are $15 at the Legion bar, Talewind Books and Coast Books and $18 at the door.
