Fundraiser planned for Creek Hall

Baffle of the Bands

The Roberts Creek Community Association (RCCA) is getting ready to host the Baffle of the Bands fundraiser.

In order to raise funds for new sound baffling for the Roberts Creek Community Hall, the RCCA is hosting a fundraiser with a great line-up of Coast musicians on Saturday night Jan. 31.

Doors open at 8 with the show starting at 8:30 p.m. This 19-plus event includes performances by Bits of String, The Country Boys, The Midds, Fat Fish Creek, Bold Kelly and The Muffdusters.

Tickets are $15, available at MELOmania.

The RCCA, which oversees operations of the hall and continually fundraises for upgrades to the building, was approached by Patrick Tasci at Soundwerks, regarding extra baffling he had left over from another job. Having done the sound engineering for many a music performance at the hall, he knew how much the hall needed baffling, and worked with the RCCA to provide them with an affordable option to significantly improve the sound quality of the building. And now that a new sound system and speakers have been installed at the hall, sound baffling is the next step of upgrades.

Let’s all work together to keep the hall in tiptop shape, so we can continue dancing and listening to great music.
