Forest art

A group of artists, musicians and poets are looking to hold an art show of works focused on the Community Forest sometime in late April, to be mounted in the Seaside Centre in Sechelt.

Work is presently being done to find a sponsor for the show that they anticipate would be a weekend in length.

Ed Hill writes: "While the battle was lost a few weeks ago for a particular block of beautiful, pristine old growth forest, our Sunshine Coast Community Forest has more forest that we need to be aware of and protect. As artists, you may have an opinion or a position in this regard. We hope to provide a venue for your creative artistic voice to be heard."

He adds that this is not a protest. If interested in such a show, advise Hill at [email protected] or at 604-886-3979.
