Art talks

Art Beat

Artist Kristjana Gunnars will be giving two art talks at the Gibsons Public Art Gallery this Tuesday, July 15, at 7 p.m. and again July 22.

Many will remember her previous art lectures at the gallery that were so knowledgeable on the subject of art history. This time the subject is slightly different: on July 15 she will talk about preparing your art career and on July 22 she talks about launching and maintaining your career, including such topics as finding and working with a gallery.

To register, call 604-886-0531 or email gpag@dccnet.com. Tickets for $25 for two talks or $15 for one will be at the door or at the gallery.

This Saturday, July 12, drop in to the Landing Gallery in Gibsons for a poetry reading of Pablo Neruda’s Heights of Machu Picchu by Jacqueline Hoekstra and an archaeology talk by Catherine Evans, Tours of Exploration, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
