B.C. NDP leader Adrian Dix will be visiting Madeira Park next Sunday, Nov. 25, as a guest of Powell River - Sunshine Coast MLA, Nicholas Simons.
Dix will be the guest speaker at a luncheon prepared by chef Doug Davis and friends at the Madeira Park Legion Branch No. 112. This event is a fundraiser for the B.C. NDP and for Simons' 2013 election campaign, so the $100 tickets can be offset with political tax credits. Doors open at noon with the luncheon at 12:30 p.m.
"Adrian has been meeting with community groups, local politicians and business leaders throughout the province, and has consistently earned their confidence," said Simons in a news release. "I have been sending luncheon invitations to constituents and community leaders in Powell River - Sunshine Coast, and am hearing enthusiastic response to this opportunity to meet the man who is on track to be the premier of British Columbia six months from now."
