As someone who lives with Armours Beach in view and walks it in all seasons, I am delighted to see this result.
The plan as proposed was impressive, but this is much better and more in keeping with the intrinsic beauty and charm of it.
Yes it needs some work, but not gentrification. Toilets as a civic contribution. Recognition of heritage in recreating the old building. Honouring of origins with Squamish people. And letting nature carry on in plant and marine life.
Good thinking all the way around, in my opinion.
Well done Town of Gibsons and activist Gibsonians.
