Without bothering to involve Canadians, even in Parliament, about a Canadian trade deal with China, the federal government has yet again crossed the line for undemocratic action. This trade deal will commit us for a minimum of three decades, and looks to be of net benefit to China; it places trade above all other factors of Canadian life. It will come into effect in early November.
