Pender Harbour Wildlife will present Coast Salish storyteller Barbara Carmelita Higgins at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at Pender Harbour Secondary School.
Higgins, or Xwu’p’a’lich, has written hundreds of stories, poems and prayers, drawing on her life and traditions about Sechelt, Egmont, Pender Harbour and Lasqueti Island. She has been a storyteller and performer for over 75 years.
