About 500 presents were donated at the Blackfish Pub in Gibsons on Tuesday for its annual toy lunch. This is an annual tradition, in collaboration with the Elves Club, to distribute gifts to local children during the holiday season.
“A lot of people are really happy just to come here and see and donate and give,” said event organizer and general manager Cathy Gilbert. “Sometimes they don’t even want the free lunch, they just wanted to bring the toys. It’s really rewarding.”
