Canuck Place Adventure Race was held Sunday, Sept. 7, with 24 participants from the Sunshine Coast (Team Sunshine) taking part. Team Sunshine joined over 140 participants who kayaked, cycled and ran around the waters and trails of Jericho Beach to help raise over $90,000 for the children and families of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
Led by team captain Tanya Rezansoff from Halfmoon Bay, Team Sunshine trained and fundraised together holding office raffles, bake sales and pub nights and working with many local businesses to collectively raise over $25,000 for Canuck Place, BC’s recognized pediatric palliative care provider to over 560 children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
