Seaforth Highlanders say thanks

Army Cadets
cadets

Cadets from 2963 Seaforth Highlanders held a fundraising day on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Wilson Creek IGA. Cadets helped pack groceries for customers to raise funds for extra activities.

The members of the Seaforth Highlanders of Canada Army Cadets would like to sincerely thank Bob Hoy and his wonderful staff at Wilson Creek IGA, and all of the members of the public who supported the fundraiser.

Because of the generosity of the community, the cadets have reached their goal and will be able to participate in a rock climbing trip to Vancouver in the spring.

Army Cadets is open to all boys and girls aged 12 to 18. Activities are focused on adventure training and leadership, and cadets have the opportunity to attend summer camps.

Parade nights are from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evenings at the Sechelt Legion, with weekend activities throughout the training year.
