The Sunshine Coast zombie walk group is happy to work with Gibsons Cinema in its first midnight movie fundraiser.
Organizers have decided to kick it off with the midnight movie cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show to help prepare the Sunshine Coast for next year’s 40th anniversary of the film.
As with the zombie walk, the charity for which this is a fundraiser will be the local food bank. Patrons will receive a discount on their ticket price with a non-perishable food item donated at the theatre.
You like the idea of a ticket discount? Want another? Come in costume, a character from the movie, a zombie or something else. Just make sure that organizers can tell it’s a costume of some sort, and yes, there will be prizes.
The event will be held on Oct. 17 with doors opening at 11:15 p.m.
