Two teachers from Jack & Jill Parent Participation Preschool were nominated and awarded with provincial honours recently for their excellence in delivering preschool education to children and their families.

Teachers Ann Law and Christine Williams received their distinctions at the recent annual general meeting for Jack & Jill. Williams was presented with a certificate of commendation, for going beyond the call of duty to work with parents and their community for the benefit of parent participation preschools in B.C.

Law was presented with the prestigious Goldie Maycock Award. This is a once-in-a-lifetime award in recognition of an outstanding teacher and is only presented to one teacher per year.

“You are a very special group of parents who are dedicated to your children and all families,” Law said. “Jack & Jill is a special place and it has been my joy to be part of our school for the past 22 years.”

Jack & Jill Preschool has been a part of the Gibsons community for 45 years, providing excellent programs for children and their families.
