Open houses mark Toastmasters Month

Public Speaking

February is International Toastmasters Month and as part of the local celebrations, members of the four Coastal Toastmasters clubs are inviting the public to be a guest at open houses throughout the month at regularly scheduled meetings.

For those who are not familiar with the organization, the Toastmasters process teaches people how to overcome their fear of public speaking, mastering the communications skills necessary for personal growth.

There are professionally designed programs suited to the needs of each individual, and one-on-one mentorship to help coach you along the way. Meetings are conducted in a warm, friendly, and supportive learning environment to practise new skills developed over the year.

And there is so much more to the Toastmasters experience, so why don’t you stop by and talk?

Members can explain the function of the organization and share their personal experiences with you. Information about each club is available online as well as on the International website.

Come to one of the meetings, especially during the month of February.

Sunshine Toastmasters: Every Tuesday evening 6:30 to 8 p.m. (Open House Feb. 6).

Morningstars Toastmasters: Every Wednesday morning 7 to 8:30 a.m. (Open House Feb. 28).
