Forum to address dying with dignity

Sunshine Coast Secular Humanist Association

Dying with dignity, assisted suicide, gentle death, living wills. These phrases are becoming common as our aging population looks to the future.

The province of Quebec recently passed legislation allowing medically assisted death. The rest of Canada is struggling with this important decision — a decision we may be forced to make to bring relief to us and our loved ones — relief that we know their decisions and agree with them.

The Sunshine Coast Secular Humanist Association is sponsoring a forum this Saturday, Oct. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Roberts Creek Hall. Speakers will include: Jim Stephenson from Dying With Dignity, Grace Pastine from the BC Civil Liberties Association and Katherine Hammond recalling a personal history.
