Eldercollege launches fall courses

The Sunshine Coast community is invited to join Sunshine Coast Eldercollege for its fall course preview on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Sechelt campus of Capilano University.

The Sunshine Coast community is invited to join Sunshine Coast Eldercollege for its fall course preview on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Sechelt campus of Capilano University.

The fall course preview includes well-known local geological engineer Bob Darney who will entertain your fantasy of discovering the next big one as he provides rock samples and anecdotes of his mineral exploration career in advance of his new course this fall, There's Gold in Them Thar Hills.

As well, Eldercollege will preview its 13 new and returning courses coming this fall for those aged 55 and older.

Eldercollege is a community of individuals aged 55-plus with a zest for learning and exploring life, as they continue to broaden their horizons into their senior years. They offer a wealth of courses and activities throughout the year to the Sunshine Coast community, most of which are available at just $40 each.
