Just in time for the holidays, the One Straw Society is presenting a workshop to help you create your own advent wreath.
The workshop, hosted by Jolanda Abersbach, takes place this Sunday, Nov. 17 at the Rockwood Centre in Sechelt from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Abersbach has been making traditional advent wreaths since she was a girl and has been very passionate in keeping key traditions like the Advent alive. She will show participants examples of wreaths she has made and help each of us create a masterpiece for our homes. Children are welcome.
Participants are asked to bring work gloves, any green trimmings from your property or the green waste depot and any decorations you want to add to your wreath. Extra decorations, greenery and other supplies will be provided.
