Target Marine Hatcheries, crafters of Northern Divine caviar, recently won Product of the Year at the 2014 B.C. Food Processors Association’s (BCFPA) Food Pro West.
The BCFPA helps small businesses develop trade relationships with national and international buyers. Target Marine had some tough competition from various B.C. products including top Vancouver chef and restaurant owner Vij, with their product Vij’s Rangoli Frozen Foods.
“We were up against some pretty stiff competition and are proud to be a part of such an innovative group of people who have come up with some unique and delicious products that are already hugely successful in the retail market,” said Target Marine manager Justin Henry.
Target Marine has been approached by several large distributors including businesses from China, Japan, Korea and Dubai. These countries are recognizing the uniqueness and quality of the product and have already begun testing their markets with Northern Divine caviar.
