This Saturday, Aug. 23 the Gambier Island Community Centre will celebrate its 20th anniversary from 1 to 3 p.m. with a wine and cheese party.
The doors will open at noon to accommodate folks coming over from the mainland. It’s recommended to take the 11:50 a.m. Stormaway water taxi from Langdale and return on the 3:25 p.m. boat.
The Gambier gallery and bookstore will be open from noon until 1:30 p.m. where there’s a fine selection of books and a new Gambier T-shirt on sale.
Following an intensive review, the draft Sunshine Coast agricultural area plan is available to view online on the Sunshine Coast Regional District website at http://www.scrd.ca/Agriculture.
