Harbour Highlights

Pender Harbour & Egmont

Visit and shop the Summer Market today and every Friday through the summer under the shady trees at Madeira Park gardens where talented local vendors have beautiful treasures and delicious treats 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Harbour Gallery, a local gem, is a must on your itinerary when touring your summer visitors around. The gallery is located steps from the Millennium Park, across from the School of Music. There is something for everyone, original paintings of all sizes, stained glass creations and cards. Support local artists with proceeds going towards the Ada Priest Memorial Scholarship awarded to a Pender Harbour student carrying on in Fine Arts. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Labour Day.

The Pender Harbour Health Centre is open Saturday mornings during the busy summer season to allow residents and visitors access to walk-in treatment from our nurses. This year the program will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, July 1 to Aug. 26. No booked appointments or laboratory service. There will not be a physician on site.

Plan to attend Pender Harbour Music Society’s Coffee House at the School of Music Friday, Aug. 11 for another stellar line up of local performers. Gen Katagiri, vocals with guitar and piano, Teal Loverock, singer songwriter, Spirit Singers, local vocal and instrumental ensemble, and  the return of our favourite tenor, Edmund Arceo. Doors open at 7 p.m. music at 7:30 p.m. Coffee and goodies will be sold, $10 suggested donation at the door. To perform or for more information, call 604-883-9749 or see www.penderharbourmusic.ca
